RICHARDSON, TX — March 1, 2004 — Valere Power today announced it has hired Peter Wasmuth, a power systems executive with 18 years of experience, to lead its aggressive European expansion as vice president of European sales. He will be based in Stockholm Sweden, and report to Andy Marsh, Valere Power president and CEO.

Valere Power plans to rapidly establish operations throughout the continent by building its own direct sales force and teaming with leading European power systems’ resellers and integrators in key countries. The company is a technology leader in DC power systems for telecommunications and enterprise OEM applications, with a patented technology that allows it to build power systems that are 50% smaller and emit 35% less heat than the industry norm.

In August, the company announced it had raised $17 million to fund its expansion into Europe and Asia. This expansion was based on the company’s success in the U.S. where it sells to major RBOCs, cable companies and wireless carriers, and its successful product development activities, which include power systems for all network applications ranging from 5 amps to 20,000 amps.

Most recently, he served as managing director of Powerbox Sweden and global vice president of sales and marketing, where he ran the business in Sweden and at the same time directed strategic marketing and sales programs worldwide for Powerbox, a power supplies manufacturer and Europe’s largest reseller.

Before that, he was the head of Emerson Energy Systems’ business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He also served in a variety of senior sales, marketing and operations positions in Europe and North America with Ericsson Energy Systems, including serving in dual roles as vice president of global marketing and head of the Swedish market unit.
