RICHARDSON, TX — April 30, 2004 — Valere Power today announced it has hired Babatunde (Bill) Onibudo, P.E., to lead the company’s expansion into Africa and the Middle East as vice president of international business development. He will be based in Valere Power’s Richardson headquarters and will report to Andy Marsh, Valere Power president and CEO.

Many countries on the African continent are seeing dramatic expansion of wireless telephone systems to provide basic telephone service to a very large, untapped base of consumers. Onibudo will direct the company’s market development activities in these countries including product development and sales channel expansion.

Prior to joining Valere Power, Onibudo led the transformation of the procurement community within Avaya’s Connectivity Solutions Group, where he was responsible for global procurement activities for a $1 billion business. As a senior executive, his efforts transformed the purchasing process and resulted in dramatic savings for the company.

Prior to Avaya, he was a Bell Laboratories Technical Director supporting the power systems business at AT&T and Lucent Technologies. At Lucent, he was part of the team that won the W. Edwards Deming Quality Prize in 1994.
