Valere Power: News & Press: Valere Power Expands Europe Team to Address Growing Market Opportunity

RICHARDSON, TX — May 5, 2004 — As part of its strategy to rapidly grow its business in Europe, Valere Power today announced the addition of two power systems industry veterans to its European team, strengthening its sales team and adding product development expertise.

Deborah Braith has joined Valere Power as key account manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, and Lars Riback is the new technical director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Both report to Peter Wasmuth, vice president of EMEA.

The expanded team is part of Valere Power’s plans to aggressively build its European business by developing products that fit with regional needs, and by building a distribution network that includes a direct sales force and partnerships with power systems resellers and integrators in key countries.

“ While the product needs are different for European customers, Valere’s core value proposition of providing compact and manageable power systems for broadband and wireless networks is very exciting to these companies,” Peter Wasmuth said. “With Deborah and Lars on board, we are now well positioned to fine tune our products and aggressively take them to market. Braith has extensive experience with OEM account management, having served as the key account manager for Emerson Energy Systems AB where she managed several accounts in the telecommunications market . She also worked in the same capacity for Ericsson Energy Systems and Ericsson Microelectronics.

Her prior experience also includes sales positions at Artesyn Austria GmbH, and AIG Europe S.A. She has a Masters of Arts in marketing from Webster University in Vienna, Austria, and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA.

As technical director, Riback is responsible for product management, product development, and production for products targeted at EMEA. Riback has more than 20 years of experience in the power systems industry and prior to Valere Power, he was vice president of global design at Emerson Energy Systems.

He has also been serving as vice president of the power systems business unit at both Emerson and Ericsson Components AB. Riback holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and a College Degree in Electrical Engineering from Thorildsplans Gymnasium.
