RICHARDSON, TX — June 22, 2004 — Valere Power today announced it has been named by the editors of Telecommunications® magazine to its “Hot Start-Ups: The Coolest New Companies of 2004” list of innovative and fast growing companies that sell equipment or services to telecommunications service providers.

The cover article appeared in today’s issue of the monthly magazine, and the company will receive an award at a breakfast held today at the SUPERCOMM 2004 trade show in Chicago.

Valere Power made the list this year thanks to its patented AC/DC power conversion technology that is 92% efficient, and which results in power systems that emit 35% less heat and are 50% smaller than the industry standard. The company has also had tremendous market success, signing more than 100 customers since its founding, and growing annual revenues more than 300% in 2004.

At SUPERCOMM, the company announced its smallest power system yet, the Mini DC Power System, which is only 1RU high with a current output of up to 160 amps – enough for broadband remote terminal, customer premises or embedded system applications.
