VALERE POWER NAMES KEN VINES CHIEF FINANCIAL
OFFICER
Veteran Executive to Oversee Financial
Operations for Leading AC/DC Power System Company
Richardson, TX—Aug.
3, 2005— Valere Power announced today the appointment of Ken
Vines as its new Chief Financial Officer in charge of all finance operations.
Vines served as CFO of two publicly traded companies and one private company
prior to joining Valere, and has extensive international experience. He
will report directly to Valere president and CEO Andy Marsh.

Vines most recently served as vice president and CFO of Datapath,
Inc., a privately held company that develops, integrates and
services satellite earth station products. He previously served
as senior
vice president,
CFO, treasurer and secretary of EXE Technologies, a publicly
traded software developer. Ken also served as Vice President
of Finance
and Controller
of DSC Communications, which was later acquired by Alcatel,
in Plano for 12 years.
During his career, Vines has participated in
several public and private debt and equity financings, and he has
had significant
experience in acquisitions
and divestitures. His responsibilities have included investor
relations, information systems, human resources and legal,
in addition
to
financial functions. Vines holds a BBA from the University
of Texas at Arlington
and an MBA from the University of North Texas.
