Valere’s Line Power Solutions are industry-leading
DC-DC converter systems optimized for the demanding power needs of today’s
last mile communications systems.
The Head End Converter System is a compact 2RU system
consisting of 14 converter modules and an optional 1RU fan shelf. Each
module contains three 100VA DC-DC converters. In addition, the Head End
Converter System provides up to 42 individual 100VA outputs at either
-190Vdc, +/-130Vdc, or +/-190Vdc per shelf.

Overlays and New Builds
The Head End Converter System is ideal for new FTTX deployment.
Its small compact size maximizes space available for broadband
equipment and new revenue services. Its modular “pay as you
grow” concept helps minimize installation and operating cost
by sizing the power system to support specific loads.

The Head End Converter System is easily expanded from a single,
triple 100VA converter up to 14 triple 100VA converters. The modules
are hot swappable and easily field installed.

up to 4,200VA of -190Vdc, +/-130Vdc, or +/-190Vdc power.
Reduced Installation and Maintenance
Costs Lightweight chassis for easy rack mounting. Fully
connectorized input and output connections reduces field wiring time
and errors.
Robust Design Each
shelf supports up to 42 100VA outputs. Each converter has an internal
VA protection that limits output to 100VA. The converters are Ground
Fault protected to less than 5mA.
Better Quality of Service
With efficiencies greater than 90%, the Head End Converter System
reduces thermal load on outside plant enclosures while reducing the amount
of incoming energy to support the configuration.
Scalable Solution
The modular concept allows the system to grow from 300VA up to 4,200VA
in a single 2RU shelf. Multiple shelves may be combined for large scale
deployment.
